You will find that diving in Arizona is not all that easy. The state has rigid laws and quite a few of them. Listed below are all the violations and their penalties for your comfort. These are however, covered in much detail in Arizona’s driving schools as well!

Registration

If a vehicle is found to be unregistered in the state or the license plate number is not coherent with that assigned by the department, you can be fined for violation. This results in a civil penalty of $50. You cannot get away with this action by merely getting registered as per the state but would have to go ahead with the charge

Accidents involving significant damage

This may refer to death or physical injuries. If the driver stops their vehicle after collision, they would be charged with class 2 felony; if they drive off, they have committed a class 5 felony. Your license would be revoked for 5 or more years.

Accidents involving vehicular damage

This legislation refers to a collision causing damage to the vehicle only. If such a collusion happens and the driver flees the scene, they can be charged with a class 2 misdemeanor; their license may be suspended for a year and screening of blood may be asked for if significant doubt exists.

Reckless driving

A person showing little to no regard for the safety of themselves, other drivers and property is said to be driving recklessly.

Such a person can be charged with a class 2 misdemeanor. If a person has previous records of the same charge, then the charge is moved to a class 1 misdemeanor.

Wireless communication legislations

This law became enforceable on 1st July 2018. It states that wireless communication devices cannot be used by the driver unless under emergent circumstances. Within the first 6 months of obtaining their license, they cannot operate a wireless communication device.

Breaking a signal

The most widely known traffic violation is to run a red light. In the Arizona region, the fine for such a charge can be up to $250 plus surcharge.

In addition to that, you also get 2 points on your driving record. The cherry on the cake is that you are sent back to driving school too for a “traffic survival” course. It’s important to emphasize that the violation of a red light can easily turn into a charge of reckless driving depending on the circumstances and discretion of the cops.

All this must sound overwhelming but there is no need to worry. Our driving lessons and defensive driving courses in Arizona cover all these aspects in depth.
