Good driving habits
Keeping a check on speed: Good drivers regulate speed and have full control over their vehicle. Though speeding is one of the easiest things to do, they don’t give in. According to the WHO, 30 percent of road accidents that resulted in death were a result of speeding.
Zero distractions: In order to drive efficiently, it’s essential for you to focus solely on the road and let go of any distractions. Texting, calling, or participating in mind-engaging conversation should be avoided at all times.
Wearing seat belts: You simply cannot be a good driver if you don’t wear a seat belt; it’s required by the law and a good driving habit as well. Seat belts protect you from incurring fatal injuries during accidents and provide you additional safety.
Bad driving habits
Not using indicators: Failing to use indicators promptly is believed to be the most common “bad” driving habit. Not signaling other vehicles on the road can put you in danger and be dangerous for pedestrians as well.
Parking illegally: Parking in illegal or handicapped spots becomes troubling for other drivers. You’ll also probably be handed a parking ticket, so make sure you look for parking signs and avoid parking near schools, hospitals, emergency exits, and so on. This is an unfavorable driving habit many drivers overlook, unfortunately.
Running yellow lights: It’s never a wise idea to run through a yellow light because you’re in a rush. You can get into a serious car accident if you don’t slow down and wait for the light to turn red. Remember that no meeting or social commitment is worth risking your life for.
